Conveyor Components & Parts

Keep Your Conveyors Running

Precision-machined idlers, pulleys, gearbox shafts, rollers, and shafting — custom built to fit your conveyor system and get you back online fast.

Why A&K for Conveyor Parts

Custom Parts for Any Conveyor System

A&K Machine & Fabrication has been producing conveyor components for mining, agriculture, food processing, distribution, recycling, and industrial operations since 1989. We machine components to match OEM specifications — or to exceed them — using your worn parts, drawings, or measurements.

When a conveyor goes down, production stops. That's why we prioritize fast turnaround on many standard components and offer on-site service for in-place repairs when pulling equipment isn't an option.

Our Process

How a Conveyor Job Moves Through Our Shop

From your first call to a finished part on your dock, here's the path most conveyor work takes at A&K.

01

Diagnosis

Send us a photo of the worn part, the OEM number, or the gearbox tag. We figure out exactly what you need — even if you don't have drawings.

02

Measure & Quote

If a sample is shipped, we measure it on a granite plate. We come back with a fixed quote and a real lead time — not a stock 8-week placeholder.

03

Machine & Inspect

CNC turning or milling, in the right material with the right heat treatment. Every part is inspected against the print before it leaves the machine.

04

Ship or Install

We palletize for pickup, drop ship, or roll the truck and install it ourselves — alignment, tracking, and tensioning included.

Beyond Single Parts

Plant Modernization & Retrofits

When a legacy conveyor line is past patching, A&K designs and builds out a full modernization — replacing every worn component, retrofitting frames to a new belt width or load rating, and updating the system to current spec. We handle the engineering, the fabrication, and the on-site installation under one roof, so there's no handoff seam between "the shop that machined the parts" and "the crew that installed them".

Full-system overhauls: idlers, pulleys, drives, shafts, frames
Retrofits to new belt width, load rating, or throughput target
Replace legacy OEM systems with A&K-machined components — no more chasing parts that aren't made anymore
CAD/CAM engineering when drawings are missing or out of date
Phased rollout — we work around your shutdown windows so one bay can be modernized at a time
In-house fabrication, machining, and field crew — single point of accountability

Predictive Maintenance

Scheduled Replacement Program

Have parts that consistently wear out on a known cycle? Don't wait for the breakdown call. Tell A&K which components run on a predictable schedule — and at your chosen interval (6, 12, or 24 months), we'll machine, finish, and stage your replacements before they're needed. When your maintenance window comes around, the parts are already on your dock, ready to swap in.

We keep your component spec, material, and heat treatment on file — no re-quoting every cycle
Custom intervals: 6, 12, 18, 24 months — or aligned to your planned shutdown calendar
Parts staged and labeled, ready to ship or installed by our on-site crew
Predictable budget — no emergency-rate surprises when something breaks at 2am
First sign of premature wear? Send us a photo and we'll adjust the spec for the next cycle
No commitment — pause or cancel any time; we just keep your file warm for next year

Who We Supply Conveyor Components To

Common Questions

Conveyor Components FAQ

Can A&K match an existing OEM conveyor part if it's no longer available?

Yes. We reverse-engineer worn or obsolete conveyor parts from a physical sample. Send us the part, the OEM number, or even just the gearbox/bearing tag — we'll measure, model, and machine an exact-fit replacement so your line keeps running even when the original supplier has dropped the part.

What materials and lagging options do you use for drive pulleys?

Drum bodies in carbon or stainless steel, with crowned or flat faces. Lagging options: bare steel for clean environments, vulcanized rubber for general-purpose, ceramic for high-friction or wet conditions, and polyurethane for food-grade lines. Tell us your belt material and load and we'll recommend the right combination.

How fast can you turn around an emergency replacement idler or shaft?

Most standard conveyor parts can be machined within a few business days when material is in stock. We prioritize emergency breakdown work because we know what an idle line costs. Call 904-388-7772 with your specs and we'll tell you straight whether we can hit your deadline before you commit.

Do you supply the conveyor frame and structure too, or just the moving parts?

Both. Our structural fabrication side builds conveyor frames, gantries, support stands, and walkways from your layout — and our on-site team can install the new structure with the new components in the same shutdown window. One quote, one PO, one accountable team.

Can you also field-install components, or do we have to take the conveyor down and ship it to you?

Field installation is a regular part of what we do — including pulley swaps, idler frame retrofits, shaft replacements, and belt re-tracking. For some jobs we machine the new part in our shop, then come to your site to install and test it. Great for facilities where pulling the conveyor is more disruptive than the repair itself.
